I got that song stuck in your head now, didn't I? Hehehe...ah, the holidays are upon us yet again! The Christmas season (though some stores premier their red and green after stinkin' Halloween!??!) officially began with Black Friday...the day our family begins to don the house in gay apparel of crimson and pine.
Its always a creative challenge for my parents to figure out where to put the Christmas tree in the main room of our house. After much deliberation, it is now in front of our big window decked out in much sparkle, pictures, snowflakes and well-loved ornaments from years gone past. (And my room now temporarily houses a chair and lamp that we had to withdraw from said living room for the tree...)
Last Saturday, after we decorated the house, we sat down and watched White Christmas. Its one of our holiday standards we watch every year...and without fail every year, Mum tears up at the "We'll Follow the Old Man" in the beginning and the end...we laugh at Danny Kay's comic relief when he pretends that his leg is broken...and Sara and I could probably monologue half of it.
My Christmas shopping is almost complete...our Christmas Maidens group party was just last night and I am happily bushed! Peppermint Mocha Rush cupcakes were made for the "event", much sugar and goodies were consumed by all in between singing a few carols, chatting and laughing all the night through.
Michael Buble's Christmas album has been my "life soundtrack" of late, and has been blared in almost every CD player in the house. I call Mr. Buble the Sinatra of today...so to close before I rush off into a bustling weekend...hit "Play" on the video below and enjoy a classic taste of Sinatra, singing one of my favorite (highly appropriate for the holiday season) songs.
